While taking a discipleship course called Saltshaker at the Texas Tech Wesley Foundation, I was given a bag filled with miscellaneous things to bless people with.
I had a blank piece of paper, rice crispy treat, mozzarella packet from Domino’s, package of cookies, and $3. I gave the snacks to people in class who were hungry and paid for a girl’s lunch with the money.
On the paper, I wrote a love letter from the Lord to anyone. I prayed over it and asked for it to be a blessing and left it in the library. The next day during my anthropology class, a girl stood up to tell us that in the last semester, she had rebelled against her strict Christian upbringing but had wanted to change.
She said she had found a letter in the library that made her feel God’s love. I thought, “This can not be a coincidence! That’s my letter!” Because of it I have made a new friend and have introduced her to my college ministry community. God placed my letter there for a reason.
